Moments That Mattered: A Look Back at 2025
Looking back on 2025, it’s clear that this was a year shaped by momentum, reflection and meaningful progress. At Next Sense, the year was not defined by a single milestone, but by many moments that together moved us forward. It was a year of learning, recalibrating and continuing to build confidence in the direction we’re taking, both as a company and as a partner to our clients.

Inside the company, connection remained a constant theme. We shared memorable experiences, from our Luxembourg trip filled with sightseeing, karaoke and terrace aperols, to a big summer celebration at Zaandvoort and spontaneous impromptu moments that made everyday work lighter. Our running team took on the Dam tot Dam, deals were celebrated with well-earned gong hits, and the office slowly filled with snacks brought back from client visits and travels across Europe and beyond. We marked birthdays, weddings and welcomed several Next Sense babies, reminding us that personal milestones and professional journeys are closely intertwined.
Beyond our own walls, we spent much of the year in conversation with the industry. From major international conferences including Proptech Connect in London or EXPO Real in Munich, to more focused, smaller settings, our team was present across Europe, sharing perspectives on AI, smart buildings and operational performance. We joined panels, hosted deep-dive sessions, welcomed visitors at our booths, and created space for dialogue during client events and Lunch & Learn sessions. These moments weren’t just about visibility, but about listening, exchanging ideas and challenging how the built environment operates today.

This engagement was reflected in recognition across the market. We were proud to see Next Sense featured in industry press, contribute to initiatives around inclusion and representation, and receive several awards recognising both innovation and growth, which included the PropertyNL Innovation Award and being listed among the Sifted 250 fastest growing start-ups in Europe. Being acknowledged by peers and industry platforms reinforces that there is a growing appetite for transparency, accountability and performance-driven approaches in real estate.

Most importantly, the year delivered real-world outcomes. In 2025, we identified 3.2 million kWh in proposed energy savings across our portfolio, corresponding to an estimated reduction of 1,040 tonnes of CO₂e. These results are the product of close collaboration with clients, partners and our internal teams, and they highlight the impact that consistent attention to building performance can have over time.
As we look ahead to 2026, we do so with clarity and confidence. The past year reaffirmed our belief that meaningful impact comes from combining expertise, technology and human judgement, applied day by day. With a strong foundation in place, our focus remains on turning insight into action, strengthening long-term partnerships and continuing to raise the barfor how buildings are operated and managed.
